Robert has spent the entirety of his career in drug discovery research and development. He has a diverse background, having contributed to many therapeutic programs and significant breadth in modality deployment, including those undergoing clinical evaluation and the approval of Sintilumab. His experience spans across different companies, including Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where he played a significant role as Global Head of Biologics in discovering and optimizing candidates and provided strategic support in scientific operations oversight.
Before joining Takeda, Robert served as Vice President of Protein Sciences at Cogen Therapeutics (now Repertoire Immune Medicines), where he led departments responsible for protein engineering, antibody technology, protein production, and analytics. His leadership was instrumental in advancing the company's research efforts in immune medicines.
Robert's career also includes notable positions at Jounce Therapeutics, Adimab, ZymoGenetics, and ImClone Systems, showcasing his extensive experience within the biotechnology industry.
He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and a B.A. in Biology and Biochemistry from Baylor University, indicating his strong academic background in the life sciences.
