Dr. Weimin Wang is a pioneer of the oligonucleotide medicinal chemistry field, he held scientific leadership positions at Sirna Therapeutics (acquired by Merck in 2006), Merck, and Dicerna Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Novo Nordisk in 2022). Weimin was a key inventor of innovative RNAi delivery solutions including GalXC™ and GalXC-Plus™ technologies, and contributed to the development of impactful RNAi medicines including Rivfloza® for primary hyperoxaluria, xalnesiran for chronic HBV infection, and lepodisiran for cardiovascular disease.He holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Rutgers University and a B.S. from Peking University, and has authored over 70 scientific papers and patents.
