Gina Panayiotou is the ESG Manager at West P&I, responsible for leading its’ Environmental, Social and Governance Strategy and Chairing the global ESG steering group, while she also sits on the International Group (IG) Sustainability Committee.

An ESG and Communications Strategist, with a background in maritime law and an MBA focused on change management and ethical leadership, Gina has worked with organisations such as the Hartmann Shipping Group, MSC Cruises and acted as a consultant to the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). Holding senior positions within the industry, Gina has lead organisation’s ESG planning and founded a consultancy firm Oceans Arena, aimed at supporting industry stakeholders with ESG strategy.

Based in London, Gina has been appointed UK Ambassador of the Seatrade Maritime Club, sits on the Board of WISTA UK as Secretary, Co-Chairs the WISTA International Environmental Committee and is the G100 UK Chair for Sustainable Brand Creation. She also supports the World Ocean Council as an associate on Law & Ocean Sustainable Development and is an Associate Tutor at MLA College. Furthermore, Gina has been featured among the “Top Maritime Influencers you should follow” by Marine Traffic, shortlisted for the Inspirational Influencer Awards, Global Impact, for her work on youth and female empowerment, has been ranked by Legal 500, GC Powerlist Greece and Cyprus as one of the Top 100 in-house counsel driving innovation within their sector, featured in the Top 100 Women in Shipping list for 4 consecutive years and founded and hosts the “Oceans Arena” broadcast.
