Vice President, Head of People claims, Lene-Camilla Nordlie has worked almost 20 years in Gard, a world leading marine insurer, and is still enchanted! “I remember vividly the first time I walked into Gard’s head office in Arendal as a young law student, it was magic! Beautiful location, so many competent and friendly people, and an exciting professional area. It was the perfect combination of a pulsating international ambience yet with all benefits of living in a small town – and the icing on the cake is that what you do matters! Most of my years with Gard have been in People claims, helping our Members and clients resolve claims from crew members, passengers, stevedores, and others. Today I have the global responsibility for People claims handled across all Gard’s offices. For me, People is at the heart of everything”.

Always eager to learn and take on challenges, Lene-Camilla has over the years held several leadership roles also outside People claims covering Defence claims, large corporate projects, and other corporate responsibilities. Lene-Camilla has vast experience from strategy realisation, improvement work and change management; “It intrigues me how much potential we have when we work together and focus on doing the right things in the best way!
