Robert has worked, as a freelance executive producer/show director, throughout Europe, USA and the Middle East on major broadcast, corporate, ceremonial and public events for multi-national companies, governments, charities, military and sporting organisations.

Having graduated as a stage manager at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he began working on major touring theatre productions across the UK, in London’s West End and at international arts festivals. This training and experience enabled him to move seamlessly into the world of live events; and over the next thirty years he experienced, first-hand, the numerous developments across all areas of the industry; from the advent of digital content and new show technologies; through to the importance of staff welfare and health & safety; and the critical significance of sustainability. Today, he possesses a comprehensive appreciation of the dynamics shaping the industry, and the associated needs of clients, agencies and freelancers.

Recognising that ultimately the event industry is based on the final delivery of a project, Robert combines his theatrical experience and understanding of consistent delivery with the demands of high
production-value broadcast shows. He has extensive experience in managing large, multi-discipline creative and technical teams on complex projects; and possesses a thorough understanding of how to successfully deliver a project from the conceptual and feasibility phases through to planning, on-site realisation and the final creation of both memorable media images and high-impact live events.

Most recently, Robert was the scriptwriter and show director for the launch in Saudi Arabia of the Banyan Tree Resort, Ashar Valley for the Royal Commission of AlUla; and the producer for the United Nations World Tourism Day conference in Riyadh, hosted by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism and focusing on sustainable tourism and green investment.
