Dr. Collin D. Williams, Jr. is an education expert, strategic leader, and sought-after speaker and facilitator who has dedicated his fifteen-year career to designing and delivering transformative learning experiences across sports, higher education, and corporate sectors.
Known for his dynamic, activity-based approach to experiential learning, Collin has facilitated more than 300 leadership development engagements through the national education nonprofit RISE, training tens of thousands of collegiate and professional athletes, coaches, staff, and C-suite executives across the NFL, NBA, WNBA, NASCAR, NHL, NCAA, and more. After five years as a director and senior director of leadership, education, curriculum, and programs, he now serves as a contracted consultant and expert facilitator.
Dr. Williams also works with universities and Fortune 500 companies as an equity coach and professional learning facilitator with the USC Race & Equity Center, helping organizations embed inclusion into their learning and talent development strategies. Through A Call to Men, he delivers trainings on domestic violence, sexual assault, and harassment prevention—promoting healthy relationship cultures in collegiate and professional settings. Earlier in his career, Collin served in Social Responsibility and Player Programs for the NBA and as Assistant Director of Player Engagement with the Baltimore Ravens.
A co-author of The Miseducation of the Student -Athlete: How to Fix College Sports, Dr. Williams’s work has been featured in TIME, Forbes, ESPN, The Washington Post, Sports Illustrated, and more than 300 media outlets nationwide. The native New Yorker earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a doctorate in Higher Education, both from the University of Pennsylvania.
