Gloria Salinas is the Senior Vice President and Chief Growth Officer at the Frisco Economic Development Corporation, where she leads strategic corporate recruitment, business retention and expansion, innovation and marketing initiatives and the Frisco EDC team. Her work focuses on attracting Fortune 500 headquarters, emerging tech industries, and fostering inclusive economic growth in one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S. Gloria has nearly two decades of experience helping Texas cities create strategies and programs to attract and retain companies which has led to more than 40,000 new jobs across the state.
A former journalist with The Dallas Morning News, Gloria brings a unique perspective to economic development, blending storytelling, strategy and community impact. She holds an MBA in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from SMU’s Cox School of Business and a B.A. in Journalism from SMU, with minors in American politics and Spanish. Gloria is an alumna of the Urban Land Institute’s Center for Leadership and serves SMU boards. She was named a 40 Under 40 Honoree by the Dallas Business Journal in 2024 and received the SMU Cox School of Business Outstanding Young Alumna Award in 2025.
