Peter W. Davidson is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Aligned Climate Capital LLC, an asset manager that invests in the companies and real assets that are decarbonizing the global economy and its infrastructure. Previously, he was appointed by the Obama Administration to serve as the Executive Director of the Loan Programs Office at the U.S. Department of Energy, the largest Federal project finance organization in the United States. Mr. Davidson oversaw the program’s $32 billion loan portfolio in renewable energy, energy storage, advanced automotive technologies, and other low carbon technologies.

Prior to leading the LPO, Mr. Davidson was Senior Advisor for Energy and Economic Development at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and was the Executive Director of New York State’s economic development agency, the Empire State Development Corporation. Prior to his government service, Mr. Davidson was an entrepreneur who founded and managed six companies and was an executive in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley & Co.

Mr. Davidson is a Director of Summit Ridge Energy, a distributed solar developer based in Arlington, VA, and Envision Solar, an electric vehicle charging company based in San Diego, CA. He also serves on the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Climate-Related Mark Risk Subcommittee, the board of pulsESG, and is the Chairman of the Board of the JM Kaplan Fund, a philanthropic foundation.
