Andrei Milekhin is Managing Director at Nomura Greentech.
Based in London, Andrei leads Nomura Greentech’s Digital Infrastructure sector coverage effort globally. Andrei focuses on a variety of digital infrastructure and telecommunications markets and businesses globally and in Europe, in particular.
Andrei joined Nomura in July 2016 following two years at VimpelCom (now Veon) in Amsterdam, where he was responsible for origination / execution of M&A transactions as well as spearheading the efforts with respect to defining portfolio strategy for the Group. Prior to joining VimpelCom, Andrei was a Director in the TMT Investment Banking team at UBS in London.
Notable recent transactions include advising UGG (50/50 JV between Allianz Capital Partners and Telefonica) on acquisition of InfraFibre Germany from Infracapital, Vauban Infrastructure Partners / Vauban Infra Fibre (France) on a EUR650m strategic minority investment from GIC, Equitix on a £186m acquisition of a minority stake in Cornerstone in the UK, BlackRock on acquisition of a 50.1% stake in Mainova WebHouse in Germany, Phoenix Tower International on a €971m acquisition of Cellnex Ireland, Echelon Data Centres (Ireland) on a US$850m investment from Starwood Capital Group, Ardian on a US$660m acquisition of Verne Global (Iceland, Finland and the UK), Stonepeak on a c.€730m acquisition of a 49% stake in Cellnex Nordics (Denmark and Sweden), PGGM and EDF Invest on acquisition of a minority stake in Norlys Tele, the largest fiber network in Denmark, GIC on acquisition of a minority stake in CETIN (Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia), Ardian on acquisition of Adamo in Spain, Allianz Capital Partners on acquisition of a minority stake in American Tower Europe (Spain, France and Germany, c.€1bn) and a 50/50 partnership with Telefonica to roll-out FTTH network in rural Germany (€5bn), as well as sale of Towertel to Phoenix Tower International and sale of Retelit to Asterion Industrial Partners in Italy (c.€700m).
Andrei holds a degree in Economics from Moscow State University for International Relations (MGIMO).
