Declan O'Brien is the Client Portfolio Manager for Eco Transport which sits within UBS Infrastructure, part of the Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) group at UBS Asset Management. Declan was formerly Head of Infrastructure Research and Strategy (2017-2023) for UBS across equity and debt, responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative analysis of infrastructure investment markets and a voting member on the investment committee across strategies. Prior to this, Declan was responsible for Legal & General Investment Management’s Infrastructure research and strategy. His previous roles were with Moody's Investors Services in London and Madrid (2009-2015), where he covered credits across the energy, transportation, and telecommunications sectors; and at KBC Bank N.V. in Dublin and Sydney (2004-2008), where he structured and originated project finance transactions with a strong focus on the energy transition. Declan is a member of the ACCA and holds a CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
