Joaquin is the CEO and Founding Partner at Serena. At Serena he founded the company and has invested over EUR 1 billion in projects (EV) in 12 assets and led the fundraising efforts since inception. He has a successful track record in investment, corporate finance, asset, project, and fund management within the infrastructure sector.

Previously, he was Finance Director and Chief Controlling Officer for Sacyr Group in Madrid where he successfully led, designed, implemented, and executed the strategic financial turnaround and key growth business initiatives. Joaquin was member of the Executive Management Level within the Investment Committee reporting to the CEO and Board Level of Sacyr Group.
