From the board room to the Situation Room, Laura Galante is an executive leader with extensive experience in cybersecurity and intelligence. She has built organizations, business lines, products, and policies to defend critical infrastructure. As a Principal at WestExec Advisors, she guides boards and C-suites on digital resilience. From 2022 to 2025, Galante was the Intelligence Community’s Cyber Executive and Director of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Integration Center. In this role, she coordinated the IC's response to national cyber incidents, represented the IC on National Security Council policy committees, and fostered new partnerships in health, water, and energy sectors. She also directed the IC’s first enterprise-wide acquisition of commercial cyber intelligence and represented the US government in international engagements. Between 2017 and 2021, Galante’s consultancy aided Ukrainian government agencies in developing cyber intelligence operations, directed a task force monitoring digital threats, and served as an expert witness in cyber warfare litigation. Earlier, she led Mandiant’s Global Intelligence business unit, known for pioneering discovery and attribution of nation-state and criminal operations. Galante frequently speaks on global competition in the digital domain, testifies before Congress, appears on major media outlets, and serves on national security and corporate cybersecurity boards. She holds a B.A. from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the Catholic University of America. She also runs a family farm in rural Virginia.
