Thibault Contat Desfontaines is co-head of the direct Infrastructure Equity Europe team, a business which forms part of Real Estate & Private Markets within UBS Asset Management.

Based in London, Thibault is responsible for originating, executing and managing direct investments in infrastructure, as well as responsibilities in fund raising, in Europe.

Thibault is a member of the UBS Global Investment Committee of Infrastructure Equity. He is also a Director at the Board of Altitude Infra THD (a leading fiber FTTH developer and operator in France) and a Director at the Board of Datum Datacentres (a data center platform in the UK).

Prior joining UBS Asset Management in 2017, Thibault spent three years in the M&A team of Nomura in London, three years in the Power, Utilities & Infrastructure team of Morgan Stanley in London, and five years in the M&A team of Rothschild & Co in Paris. Thibault has extensive investment banking experience within the infrastructure sector, advising various infrastructure funds on acquisitions and disposals. He has particular expertise in Digital Infrastructure, and broad experience in M&A, equity and debt financing.

Thibault is fluent in English, French and Spanish.
