Panellist

Profile

Zoë joined AIIM’s African Transition Acceleration Fund at launch as Investment Manager in 2025 and was promoted to Investment Principal in 2026. As a founding member of the investment team, she helped shape the fund’s strategy, sector focus and portfolio construction.

ATAF is AIIM’s newest pan-African investment vehicle, designed to support Africa’s energy transition. The fund focuses on early-stage investments across three core themes: clean electrons, clean molecules and sustainable transport. Supported by a unique blended finance approach, this innovative fund marks a significant step in addressing Africa’s energy transition finance deficit.

Zoë brings expertise in energy and infrastructure investments, with circa a decade’s experience across diverse sub-sectors and geographies. Her investment portfolio at Macquarie Asset Management included green hydrogen, renewables, rail, water, waste management, logistics, energy services, digital infrastructure, secured income real estate, PPP’s, biofuels etc.

Zoë’s investment approach is informed by her training and experience as an exploration geophysicist which she practised for a couple years in emerging markets.

Zoë is an Associate of the Royal School on Mines, holds an MSc Energy, Trade and Finance with Distinction from Bayes Business School, a BSc Geophysics with Distinction from Imperial College London and the CFA’s Certificate in ESG Investing.
