Alex Hughes joined Vista Credit Partners in 2019. Alex is Co-Portfolio Manager of Flagship Credit and a member of the VCP Investment Committee. He is responsible for the origination, evaluation, and risk management of investments across VCP, with a focus on the Flagship Credit strategy.

Prior to Vista, Alex was a Vice President at Ares Management in the Credit division, where he underwrote and maintained credit facilities for corporate and sponsor-backed companies across a wide array of industries. In addition to his credit responsibilities, Alex assisted in the firm’s strategic endeavors, including portfolio acquisitions and fundraising activities. Before Ares, Alex was an Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in the Leveraged Finance division.
