Angelo Rufino joined Bain Capital in 2024. He is a Partner and Head of Special Situations in North America and Europe. He also serves as CEO of Bain Capital GSS Investment Corp.

Prior to joining Bain Capital, Angelo was a Managing Partner at Brookfield Asset Management where he spent more than a decade in several leadership roles across private equity and credit, including Global Head and CIO of Brookfield Special Investments. He also held responsibility for the firm’s music royalties business, Primary Wave, its Homebuilder Finance Strategy, and was a key investor across the firm’s insurance business. Prior to his time at Brookfield, Angelo was a founding member of the distressed credit and special situations group at Brigade Capital Management. He began his career at JPMorgan Chase where he worked in the firm’s investment banking division advising on capital raising and M&A.

Angelo holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Skidmore College.
