Profile
Brian Krim is a Senior Partner in Bain & Company’s San Francisco office and a leader in the firm’s work with Financial Investor clients globally. With more than three decades of consulting experience, he advises alternative investors and allocators across private equity, growth equity, credit, infrastructure, and real estate on firm strategy and operations, capital formation, sector strategy, investment diligence, and portfolio value creation.
Brian partners with alternative asset managers to sharpen their investment edge and scale their platforms. His work includes fund strategy, operating model and governance evolution, M&A, talent and organizational effectiveness. In parallel, he supports investors throughout the transaction and ownership lifecycle, helping them evaluate investment theses, assess value-creation potential, and accelerate portfolio performance - building repeatable, advantaged results.
Earlier in his career, Brian worked with corporate clients across a range of industries—including technology, telecommunications, consumer products, hospitality, and logistics—on growth strategy, post-merger integration, and performance transformation.
Brian earned an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker Scholar, and a BA in Quantitative Economics from Stanford University.
