Callum leads Investec's Private Markets & Alternatives platform — over €14 billion of commitments across five core credit strategies and a team of c.220 people. A member of Investec's Executive leadership team since 2020 and Co-Chair of the Investment Committee for Investec Alternatives, he sets the strategic direction and has driven the platform's build-out from the ground up.

Over a 15-year period he founded and scaled Investec's Direct Lending business — the foundation of the platform — overseeing the deployment of a cumulative €10 billion across more than 350 transactions and establishing its sponsor coverage, origination and structuring capabilities in private debt for lower- and mid-market European corporates and PE sponsors.

Callum brings over 20 years of leveraged finance, investment banking and strategy consulting experience across Europe, including as a Director in Leveraged Finance at the Royal Bank of Scotland. He holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge and a degree in Chemical Engineering (Hons) from the University of Auckland.
