Chris LlewellynSenior Partner at McKinsey & CompanyPresenter
Profile
Chris Llewellyn is Global Co-Head of McKinsey & Company’s Private Capital Practice and leads the practice across EMEA. A Senior Partner based in London, he works with leading private capital investors, sovereign investors, and portfolio companies on one of the defining questions facing the industry: what it will take to create alpha when capital is more expensive, exits are harder, AI is reshaping competitive advantage, and historic definitions of competence are no longer enough.
Chris advises clients across the investment lifecycle, from strategy, diligence, and value-creation planning through transformation, portfolio acceleration, and exit. His work focuses on the design choices that increasingly separate winning firms from the undifferentiated middle: where they play, where their alpha comes from, how they build companies, and how they use capital, talent, data, and AI to create advantage that is repeatable and hard to copy.
Before his current role, Chris co-led McKinsey’s global Life Sciences Practice and led the Firm’s digital and advanced analytics work across life sciences and healthcare. A physician and former surgeon by background, he has spent more than two decades at McKinsey helping investors, companies, and governments diagnose structural change and act on it.
At SuperReturn, Chris will challenge private capital leaders to look beyond the symptoms of today’s market and ask a more important question: whether the GP model itself now needs to be redesigned for the next decade.
