Profile

Christoph Kauter is the Managing Partner and Founder of Beyond Capital Partners – a Frankfurt based Private Equity investor focusing on the acquisition of majority stakes in profitable asset-light small and medium enterprises in the German-speaking countries.

Christoph has over 25 years of experience and is a long-standing private equity investor with deep expertise in identifying attractive investment opportunities, winning the hearts of entrepreneurs, executing state-of-the-art M&A transactions, implementing value-creating growth strategies and business development initiatives for portfolio companies, and is a strong advocate of ESG as a value driver for businesses. Since 2008, he has held executive positions in private equity firms. Christoph has a long-standing track record of dozens of transactions and exits, as well as an extensive network within the German-speaking midmarket. As an entrepreneur and founder, and across three fund generations, he has established Beyond Capital Partners as one of the leading mid-market private equity investors.

Christoph holds a master’s degree in banking & finance of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, a postgraduate degree in Finance from CASS Business School, London, and is a certified Real Estate M&A Advisor from the European Business School. He regularly gives lectures and teaches at leading business schools in Germany and is an active panellist at European investment conferences. In 2025, Christoph was appointed as a member of the Board of the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVK). In addition, he serves as mentor and sponsor for the non-profit organization Level 20, which supports women in the private equity industry. He has also established the “Beyond Capital Partners Scholarships” at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management to financially support and promote three female talents each year in their career aspiration in M&A.

In his free time, Christoph enjoys traveling and, as a devoted father of three, most enjoys spending time with his family
