Dr. De Filippo is one of the leading experts in the private market industry, with a vast network among companies, alternative asset managers, and investors. In October 2020 he joined Bank Julius Baer in Switzerland, to build and lead the Direct Private Investment franchise in Europe and Asia working with private companies and General Partners at PE and VC firms. He was previously at UBS, where during his 14 years he had been the global head of the Direct Investments Group and the Corporate Finance Group, with teams in the US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Germany, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Prior to this, he worked as an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company in Zurich, Singapore, and Shanghai from 1999 to 2006. Giuseppe holds a Master’s degree in Physics from the University of Pisa and a PhD in Physics from the University of Copenhagen.
