As a Managing Partner and co-founder at Alfa Framtak, Gunnar Páll Tryggvason oversees ISK 45 billion private equity funds investing in transformative growth opportunities in unlisted companies across various sectors in Iceland. Gunnar has a proven track record of originating, developing, and pursuing deals, managing investments, and supporting management teams and stakeholders.

With 25 years of experience in private equity and corporate finance Gunnar has completed transactions, managed investments, and been an executive board member in over ten countries. Previous board positions include Refresco, Hame, Laima, and Nordic Partners.

Gunnar holds an MBA from Wharton Business School, where he graduated with honors, and he has completed the Stanford Executive Program.
