Profile

Ilario Corna is the Chief Information and Technology Officer (CITO) for the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He is responsible for the delivery of technology to support the IOC itself, the oversight of the technology plans and operations of each Organising Committee, the Information Knowledge and Learning and Operational Data helping future and past Organising Committees and cyber security for the IOC and Olympic Games.

Ilario took up this role on 1 November 2020, joining the IOC from Swisscom in Zurich, where he was the Executive Vice President – TV & Smart Products.

Ilario has over 15 years of international experience in information and technology services, broadcast, telecommunication, digital media and e-commerce for companies such as Swisscom, Discovery, Eurosport, RSI and Bell Media. He has managed IT infrastructure and delivered digital transformation and process improvement, while providing customer-centric and technology-driven products and services. In the Olympic and sports sector, he worked for the Canadian Olympic Broadcasting Consortium at the time of the Vancouver 2010 and London 2012 Olympic Games, and later established the digital transformation of the delivery of the 2015 European Games in Baku.

He studied computer science and engineering in Switzerland and Canada, and he speaks English, French, Italian (his first language) and German.
