Johanna Struthmann
Founding Partner at Vidia Equity
Panellist

Profile

Johanna is the Founder and Managing Partner of Vidia Equity, Europe’s first dedicated private equity buyout fund focused exclusively on scaling transformative climate solutions to deliver exceptional returns for investors. With 15 years of experience in private equity, she has built a strong track record of investing in market-leading mid-cap businesses across Europe. Recognizing the untapped potential of mid-cap companies to drive the transition to a low-carbon economy, Johanna set out to create a new type of private equity firm – one that redefines traditional investment strategies both thematically and strategically.

Vidia Climate Fund I closed oversubscribed at EUR 415 million in 2023, making it one of the largest emerging funds in Europe in recent years. Since then, Johanna and her team have focused on primary and often proprietary situations, driving both organic and inorganic growth.

Vidia’s operational value creation strategy is designed specifically for the lower mid-market and built around concrete levers: data and AI tools across the value creation spectrum to accelerate operational transformation, including buy-and-build; go-to-market strategy and execution that reposition businesses as market leaders with strategic customers; and organizational and operational excellence – grounded in exceptional teams and efficient everyday operations. As the low-carbon transition accelerates, more entrepreneurs are seeking a strong partner who shares their vision – where Vidia’s value creation approach continues to set it apart.
