Marilisa Barbato is an Alternative Investments Specialist for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, based in Geneva. In her role she advises private clients, family office, endowments and foundations on the construction of hedge fund, private equity, private debt and real asset portfolios.

An employee since 2014, Marilisa relocated to Geneva in 2022 after spending eight years in London, firstly as a member of the Managed Solutions team (where she was leading the selection and the on-going due diligence of European public equity mutual funds) and later as the Head of the EMEA Equity Portfolio Specialists team (advising clients on the construction of public equity managed portfolios).

Along with her passion for investments, Marilisa is actively involved in the conversation around diversity, equity and inclusion in the workspace. She is a member of the Women on The Move – Private Bank Group which aims to create a more inclusive working environment and to support the development and the advancement of women in the organization.

Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 2014, Marilisa worked at KPMG Advisory within their Corporate Finance team in Milan, covering Financial Institutions Group. Marilisa graduated from Bocconi University in Milan with an MSc in Accounting, Finance
