Mathieu Chabran is the co-founder of Tikehau Capital, a leading global alternative asset management group with €51.1 billion assets under management and over 730 employees worldwide (as of 30 September 2025).
Since establishing the firm in 2004 with Antoine Flamarion, Mathieu has been a driving force behind its founder-led culture, international expansion, and strategic growth across private credit, real assets, private equity, and capital markets strategies. This includes taking the company public in 2017 and driving its presence across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and North America. He remains deeply involved in strategic direction and day-to-day operations, leading from the firm’s New York office.
Mathieu began his career at Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank and holds degrees from ESCP Business School and Sciences Po Aix. Known for his entrepreneurial vision and commitment to sustainability, he is also active in philanthropy through the Tikehau Capital Foundation, is Chairman of the Board of Joyeux Foundation US - Café Joyeux and is actively involved with the Marie Curie Institute.
