Michael Halford is co-chair of Goodwin’s highly regarded Global Private Investment Funds group and is recognised as one of the premier funds and private capital lawyers in the world. He is included in Legal 500’s Hall of Fame for Private Funds, described as being at “the very top of the profession, widely known and respected by peers and clients”. His team are held in similar regard, acknowledged as being “consistently able to suggest solutions to complex issues and able to point to comparable situations from their practice”.
Michael has been practicing law for just under 30 years and his practice specifically focuses on private equity funds, infrastructure funds and real estate funds for institutional and private investors. He specialises in private equity and investment fund structuring for managers and investors covering a wide range of funds, incentive schemes and co-investment arrangements. He has a broad practice ranging from large private equity buyout funds to mid-market and first time fund groups in the private equity space. Michael also has particular expertise in dealing with GP-led restructurings and infrastructure funds.
