Montserrat Formoso is the Head of AlterForum in Spain, FundsPeople’s initiative dedicated to the analysis and debate around private markets. With over 20 years of experience in the asset management industry, she works at the intersection of industry insights, strategic content and engagement with asset managers, institutional investors and private banks.

Through AlterForum, Montserrat collaborates with leading voices across the private markets ecosystem — covering private equity, private debt, infrastructure and real estate — to explore the trends shaping the industry. She is also a regular moderator of high-level roundtables and think tanks bringing together key institutional players.

Prior to FundsPeople, she held roles in portfolio management, fund research and macroeconomic analysis at Tressis and Santander Private Banking. She holds a Certificate in Private Markets and Alternative Investments (CFA Institute, 2024), an Executive Education certificate from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford (Oxford Private Markets Investments Programme), and a Master’s in Banking and Finance from AFI (Analistas Financieros Internacionales).
