Nhora Otálora joined HarbourVest in 2012. She focuses on leading Investor Relations for the U.S. West Coast and serves as the firm’s Head of Latin America. Nhora works closely with institutional investors across the Western U.S., helping them access global private markets through customized solutions. She also maintains a strategic focus on Latin America, where she led the opening of the firm’s office in Colombia—the first by an international private equity firm in the country. Nhora has built long-standing relationships with leading investors in Chile, Peru, Panama, and Mexico, and brings deep expertise in navigating complex regulatory environments.

Her prior experience includes serving as Associate of Private Equity Funds at Bancoldex, where she worked to strengthen the venture capital and private equity industry by building capacity among local fund managers. Before that, she held roles such as Project Manager at Fundacion Coomeva and Office Manager at Banco de Bogota.

Nhora graduated from Ibague University with a BS in Financial Administration and earned an MBA in Global Administration from Tulane and Icesi Universities. She also serves on the Investment Committee of Caxdac, the pension fund of the Colombian Association of Civil Aviators.
