Olaf is the Founding Partner of TopCap Partners, an International Placement Agent and Private Equity Secondaries firm. TopCap is highly specialized and focused on institutional quality managers, spin-outs and growth funds of excellent management teams, raising capital from institutional investors globally for these outstanding managers. TopCap is also a leading buy-side agent for Private Equity Secondaries. Olaf built the Secondaries buy-side agency business originally at Hedges Capital, his well-regarded predecessor firm since 1999. Prior to that, Olaf spent 16 years as Managing Director with Citibank in international postings. He served in executive positions in New York, Buenos Aires, Brussels, Dublin, as Chairman of Citibank in Vienna, Austria, and as Managing Director of Citibank Germany in Frankfurt. He graduated from the University of Hamburg with undergraduate degrees in business administration and economics and a Masters in Business Administration. He received his Ph.D. in political science from the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel. Olaf is a German and US citizen.
