Profile Summary • Rob joined Mercer in Oct 2021 and is responsible for setting and driving the of Mercer Analytics and Portfolio Solutions Strategy and is responsible for managing a select number of Global Partnerships. • Prior to his move to Dublin in Oct 2024, Rob was based in Dubai for 12years where he was the Mercer Head of Wealth for India, Middle East and Africa. • Rob joined Mercer from MSCI where he was the Head of the Middle East, based in Dubai from 2012, joining MSCI in 2005 as a member of the Client Coverage team in London as the Head of Index Sales. • In his roles Rob has worked alongside and advised a multitude of asset owners (from the largest SWF and Pension Funds) to multiple family offices. During his role at MSCI Rob actively engaged local government, ministries, and policy makers in the strategic evolution of several Middle East capital markets.
• Experience • With 25 years of experience in a variety of roles, Rob has held various positions in London prior to joining MSCI. These include Barclays Capital in rates and in equity derivatives at Dresdner Kleinwort. Rob started his career at Deutsche Bank on the graduate program. • Rob is a regular speaker at global conferences, industry events and round tables. Rob has published articles and has undertaken several live TV and radio broadcasts on topics related regional capital markets, macroeconomics, market classification, ESG related matters and topics related to retirement. In 2015 and 2016 Rob was ranked by MENA FM as one of the top 30 influential people in the fund management services industry in the Middle East. • Rob sat on the board of Mercer Financial Services Middle East Limited in Dubai and on the board of MMC Financial Limited in KSA and is an active member of Mercer’s Global Wealth leadership team and research think tanks.
Education • Rob received his undergraduate degree in Medical Biochemistry from Brunel University in London and his postgraduate degree in Molecular Genetics from Cambridge University.
