After having completed two master degree’s in Trade law (Leiden University) and an MBA (INSEAD) Robert’s first twenty career years were in Retail.

Department stores in the Netherlands, DIY stores in Belgium, France and Iberia, and finally a dot .com start up active in eight European countries.

After this, and for the last twenty years, Robert has set up and managed a Single Family Office out of Luxemburg, that invests across liquid and illiquid assets over the full range of asset categories and regions.

This is done using a value based bottom up fund selection strategy complemented by a portfolio construction and risk management overlay top down.

On the illiquid asset side the group invests in Fund of Funds, Direct funds, secondary funds, co-investments and direct deals across Private Equity, Venture Capital, Private Credit and Private Real Estate. It is exposed to over 85 funds and to more than 10 direct investments for a total of close to a hundred lines of illiquid investments.

Robert is also active as a board member and advisor to other Single Family Offices as well as being active on different International Single Family Offices platforms.
