Sofie Østergaard joined Argentum, the Norwegian Sovereign Wealth Fund in 2023, taking charge of their ESG initiatives. She holds a PhD in sustainability and food waste reduction from NTNU and earned her Master’s in Industrial Design from Denmark’s School of Design in Copenhagen. Sofie entered the world of Private Equity after a decade of experience as a Sustainability Manager in the food industry at Norgesmøllene/Cernova Group where she focused on developing and implementing ESG strategies and overseeing the value chain. At Argentum, she continues her work on ESG strategy and oversees ESG compliance across their portfolio as well as handling ESG-reporting.
