Profile
Tara Walsh has been a practicing private equity funds attorney for almost 20 years. She is presently serving as a senior funds consultant with the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA). Prior to that, she was senior funds counsel at the Pension Protection Fund, where she managed the legal aspects of their private markets portfolio for investments made indirectly both in the primary and secondaries market through a range of structures, as well as overseeing their fixed income and LDI strategies.
She is an experienced private markets funds lawyer on both the GP- and LP-side for various institutional investors. She also has prior experience as a senior lawyer and as sole counsel and head of legal for corporate with VCs and PE portfolio companies.
Tara’s career began with Freshfields in their private equity team, and she subsequently worked in private practice for the funds practices of London based US firms and City firms before moving in-house.
