Mr. Khosla is Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Strategic Value Partners, LLC (SVP), a $19 billion global private credit firm. He established SVP in 2001 and has grown the firm to about 200 employees with major offices in Greenwich CT, London and Tokyo. He has led the firm’s transformation from its roots in distressed investing to one with strengths in private debt, event-driven investing, hard assets (real estate, infrastructure, aircraft, power plants) and special situations and private equity. Mr. Khosla was a pioneer in Europe, setting up an office in London in 2004, and has capitalized on the various dislocations to build a market leader: Europe typically accounts for a third to half of SVP’s portfolio. Today, SVP has operating control (typically majority) of 15 businesses with about 100,000 employees. 

Over his career, Mr. Khosla has built and managed one of the top proprietary trading businesses at Merrill Lynch (1993-1998), served as President of Cerberus Capital (1998-1999) and run MooreSVP (1999-2002), a JV with Moore Capital. Mr. Khosla graduated with a Bachelors of Commerce (Honors) degree from Delhi University, an MA in Economics from Vanderbilt University, as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago. Mr Khosla is a frequent speaker on capital markets and private credit investing, a member of the Management Council at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is on the board of Pratham USA, one of the largest non-governmental education organizations in India, addressing gaps in the education system, and providing millions of children with educational opportunities.
