Akihiro Konishi is Chief Investment Officer at Federation of National Public Service Personnel Mutual Aid Associations, in Japanese “Kokka-Komuin-Kyosaikumiai-Rengokai” (KKR)since 2025.
KKR manages the employees’ pension plan together with other entities such as GPIF, and manages other pension fund for government employees. It’s AUM is about 11 trillion yen and invest in stocks, bonds, and alternative assets.
Akihiro has more than thirty years of career in financial market and experienced a variety of transactions in private loans, samurai-bonds, syndicated-loans, shipping finance, structured finance etc. He was seconded to KKR form The Development Bank of Japan (DBJ) in 2021 as head of alternative assets, and transferred in 2023. He joined DBJ in 2006 where he experienced the management of subsidiaries as a senior officer and the board member of DBJ Securities, and DBJ Asset Management. He also has a secondment experience to The National Federation of Mutual Aid Associations for Municipal Personnel for two years, where he involved in pension management and launched alternative investments. Before joining DBJ, he worked at Rating and Investment Information, and The Industrial Bank of Japan. He started his professional career at The Long-term credit bank of Japan in 1991.
Akihiro graduated Keio University in Tokyo, majored in Economics. He obtained MS in finance from Aoyama Gakuin University in Tokyo.
