Ahmed brings 18 years of diverse experience in investment banking, finance and turnarounds to his role as Chief Investment Officer at Magellan Capital. Prior to Magellan Capital, Ahmed was appointed as Chief Financial Officer at ZMI Holdings in 2020, whose sale to ADNOC L&S he expertly facilitated in late 2022. Following this, Ahmed was appointed as Chief Investment Officer at HEA Investments where he defined and implemented the firm’s investment strategy. Ahmed successfully set up Magellan Capital as a spinout of HEA Investments. Additionally, Ahmed serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Danish Ship Finance, a company Magellan acquired in July 2024. He holds a BA in Economics from the American University of Cairo and an MBA from London Business School.
