Alex Santos is the co-founder and general partner at Chamaeleon, an innovative early-stage VC firm with a disruptive operating model. Chamaeleon leverages its in-house developed quantitative and technology platform, Mantis, to enhance deal sourcing, due diligence, risk assessment, portfolio management, and liquidation processes. While headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, the firm also operates in Europe and focuses on Series Seed and Series A investments. Alex primarily targets B2B-driven startups, spanning vertical and horizontal SaaS, cloud, cybersecurity, and more.

Before Chamaeleon, Alex co-founded one of Europe’s leading corporate venture builders and early-stage VC vehicles. He played a key role in establishing a corporate VC with over €350 million in assets under management, directly managing more than 30 investments across the US, Europe, and Israel.

With over 15 years of experience in the telecom, internet, cloud, and data center sectors, Alex has held various leadership positions in product and business development, as well as serving as CFO and board director. His deep industry expertise is complemented by his angel investing, advisory and board roles in numerous startups, as well as his frequent engagements as a guest speaker and jury member at startup events and business schools.
