Ennis Rimawi is the founder and Managing Director of the Catalyst MENA Climate Funds. Catalyst MENA Climate Fund 2 (CMCF2) is planned to launch in early 2026, after the top decile performance of CMCF1, primarily backed by EU Governments, which was launched in 2016. Previously Ennis founded the region’s first energy/water (climate) tech investment company, in 2007; after exiting Estarta Solutions (partially owned by Cisco and Microsoft) in 2006. Before moving to Jordan, Ennis was a tech entrepreneur in Boston with offices in Beijing and Amman, and initially began his career at Ford Motor Company in Michigan/Pennsylvania.
Ennis graduated from MIT with two degrees in engineering, and an MS from the MIT Sloan School of Management, and is the co-founder of the MIT Arab Alumni Association, an alumni of the Young Global Leaders (World Economic Forum), a member of the WEF Global Futures Council, and a board member of Ajeej Capital (Dubai) and Relational.ai (Berkeley, CA).
