Fedor Sapronov has a 25-year career in banks and investments. He started as an investment analyst in a multi-industry conglomerate in Eastern Europe and quickly progressed to the 2^nd position level, to Head of Strategy and Investments. After selling down the company’s assets, Fedor transitioned to banking and held senior positions as head of leveraged finance, head of corporate lending and project financing departments, chief managing director for corporate business and a board member at various commercial banks operating from West Balkans to Türkiye and to the Far East.

Fedor joined AIIB in 2022 and serves as Senior Investment Officer in the Funds and Financial Sponsors vertical. Located in Abu Dhabi, he covers MENA, Central Asia and CEE. Fedor is an LPAC member of some of the MENA-based PE funds. Fedor has degrees in applied mathematics and economics; he is a CFA charterholder and holds an ESG Certificate by CFA Institute.
