Gerrit Steen is a seasoned executive and strategic advisor with 25+ years of global leadership experience both in finance and general management. He has held CFO and executive leadership roles across multinational corporations with a strong focus in healthcare. He now actively engages in advisory roles, supporting boards, investors, and management teams on complex strategic decisions.

Most recently serving as Group CFO at Damac Group in Dubai, he led finance, compliance, and performance management for a multi-billion $ diversified business. Previously, he spent nearly two decades at Fresenius Group in Europe and Asia. He held executive board positions both in Fresenius’ healthcare services and products operations, being CFO of Fresenius’ global hospital and clinics business and global CFO and regional CEO in Asia of Fresenius’ pharmaceutical, medtech and nutrition business. Gerrit led strategic transformations, M&A transactions as Fresenius group’s global business development leader, and efficiency programs. Before he also held senior roles at Heraeus Group both in Europe and the US, driving business turnaround and expansion in their global dental products business.

Gerrit specializes in financial leadership, M&A, restructuring, digital transformation, and cross-border investments, with expertise in managing large teams and complex regulatory environments. He is increasingly engaged in board-level advisory work, helping companies and investors navigate growth, governance, capital allocation, and operational excellence. He holds an MBA equivalent degree from WHU (Germany), with exchange experience in the US and France.
