Julian Barratt-Due (Middle East) joined KKR in 2016 and is a Managing Director. He leads KKR’s investment team in the Middle East. At KKR, Mr. Barratt-Due has played an active role in a broad range of investments including European Locomotive Leasing (ELL), X-Elio, Acciona Energia Internacional, Telxius Telecom, Hivory, Global Technical Realty (GTR), Reintel, Northumbrian Water, Telenor Fiber and Grove Education. Mr. Barratt-Due is on the Board of Directors of GTR, Reintel, Northumbrian Water, Telenor Fiber, Grove Education, and was previously a board member of ELL and Telxius Telecom. Prior to leading the firm's investment practice in the Middle East, Mr. Barratt-Due was based in KKR's London office focusing on European infrastructure investments. Before joining KKR, Mr. Barratt-Due worked at J.P. Morgan in New York, focusing on mergers, acquisitions and financing transactions in the energy sector within the firm's investment banking division. He also worked at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in New York and Hong Kong. Mr. Barratt-Due holds a M.A. (Honors) in International Business from the University of Edinburgh.
