Profile
With nearly 15 years of investment experience, Miloud Boudjemai is the Regional Industry Equity Lead at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group. He oversees equity investments in the Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Services sectors — including healthcare, education, retail, and real estate — across the Middle East, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
Miloud has led several landmark transactions in frontier and emerging markets, including IFC’s first Equity Bridge Loan and pioneering South–South investment platforms connecting the GCC with Central Asia.
Prior to joining IFC, Miloud led Private Equity Investments in Africa and the Middle East at PROPARCO, the private sector investment arm of the French Development Agency (AFD).
He previously held various positions within the financial and international development industry in emerging markets including raising and deploying a Sovereign Energy Fund at the Islamic Development Bank Group and Private Equity funds for the MENA region. He began his career in M&A at Barclays Capital in London.
As Algerian French national, he holds an MSc in Economics from Bocconi University and an MA in Finance from Sciences Po Paris.
