Tammer is a founding General Partner of VentureSouq, a GCC-based thematic venture capital manager. VentureSouq has a portfolio of over 250 global early-stage technology investments. Prior to VentureSouq, he was Vice President of Private Equity at Waha Capital, based in Abu Dhabi. Tammer previously worked in structured products and investment banking with UBS and HSBC in New York and Dubai. Tammer served as a Fulbright Scholar in Damascus, Syria and worked with the Office of Presidential Personnel at the White House in Washington, D.C. Tammer holds a B.A. from Yale University and serves on the Board of Directors of the Yale Arab Alumni Association, as well as the Boards of several of VentureSouq’s portfolio companies.
