Venkatesh is a Managing Director at Chiratae Ventures India Advisors and leads the firm’s SaaS and Cloud practice. He brings over 20 years of industry experience, including 14 years in venture capital.

Since joining Chiratae more than a decade ago, Venkatesh has been instrumental in building the firm’s SaaS investment thesis, including authoring Chiratae’s annual flagship report, The Indian SaaS Revolution. He has led investments in Deepfence, GetVantage, Healthplix, Hevo Data, Pixis, Questt, Rentomojo, SquadCast, and SquadStack, and has supported companies such as Lenskart. His track record also includes successful exits from Unbxd, Hiree, Hansel.io, and Infisecure.

Prior to Chiratae, Venkatesh held leadership roles in venture capital, investment banking, and startups at Reliance Ventures, Credit Suisse, Adventity, and Blue Star Infotech. Venkatesh is a CFA charter holder from the CFA Institute, USA.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from VJTI, Mumbai, and a master’s degree in management studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai.
