Zafer is the Founder of Silicon Valley Venture and Innovation (SVVI), a MENA-based fund of funds that positions capital into leading AI managers and top-tier deals globally. He launched SVVI in San Francisco in 2019 to advise governments, corporations, and institutional investors on capital deployment.

Previously, he was with Social Capital, where he led capital formation in MENA and helped spin out its AI-driven investment platform. Earlier, as a partner at 500 Startups, Zafer worked with entrepreneurs worldwide, launching ecosystem programs in Japan, Australia, and Latin America, and creating 500’s Corporate Startup Innovation Program in San Francisco.
