Assia Grazioli Venier
Founding Partner at Muse Capital
Speaker

Profile

Assia Grazioli-Venier is a founding partner at Muse Capital and an advisor to consumer tech startups, public companies, and sports businesses. She has worked at the forefront of technological disruption—in industries like music, gaming, and technology—for 20 years. In 2004, Assia started her career in London, where she created and launched TV and radio for Ministry of Sound, one of the leading music brands and record labels in Europe. Early in her career, she began her own consultancy and advised brands on consumer innovation and business development. This led her to support scaling businesses, including the likes of Spotify, which she supported with strategic partnerships and global business development from 2010 to IPO. After advising for Andrea Agnelli’s LAMSE holdings, Assia was appointed in 2012 to sit on the board of directors of Italy's legendary Juventus Football Club. She was the first female and youngest member of the board in 120 years and held the position for nine years, sitting on both remuneration and auditing committees. Assia was also on the board of advisors of Northzone, one of Europe’s leading technology investment funds whose portfolio includes Spotify & Kahoot. She currently sits on the boards of Eli Health and Inovit. In 2016, Assia launched Muse Capital with her business partner Rachel Springate. Muse Capital is an early-stage venture capital firm investing in overlooked and untapped consumer technology opportunities across the future of how we Care, Play, and Live. For the past eight years, Muse Capital has backed category-defining companies in sectors where innovation and investment have historically lagged, with a strong focus on women’s health. Their portfolio of 40+ investments includes Clarity Money (sold to Goldman Sachs), Midi (leading virtual menopause clinic), Conceivable Life Sciences (pioneering AI and robotics-driven fertility solutions), CoFertility (revolutionizing egg freezing and donation), Beekeeper’s Naturals (fast growing wellness brand), and Futureverse (developing infrastructure for next-gen metaverse applications). The team has also gained exclusive access for their strategic LPs into prestigious later stage deals, including Robinhood. After the launch of Juventus Women in 2017, Assia also became a leader in the untapped commercial opportunity of women’s sports, specifically the global growth of women’s soccer. She and Rachel are proud investors in the Washington Spirit and Just Women Sports.
