David A. Breach is Vista’s President and Chief Operating Officer. He currently sits on Vista’s Executive Committee, as well as the firm’s Private Equity Management Committee and Vista’s Private Equity Funds’ Investment Committee. Mr. Breach also sits on the boards of Vista portfolio companies EagleView, Jamf (NASDAQ: JAMF), Solera and Stats Perform.

Born in a Toronto suburb and raised in southeastern Michigan, Mr. Breach graduated from high school at 16 and pursued a business degree at Eastern Michigan University alongside a full-time sales job. He subsequently attended law school, graduating from the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif. He began his career at Honigman Miller specializing in corporate law, representing mostly private equity firms. Prior to joining Vista as its COO in 2014, Mr. Breach worked as a Senior Corporate Partner at Kirkland & Ellis, where he focused on the representation of private equity funds in all aspects of their business.

Throughout Mr. Breach’s career, he has been a thought leader in the legal and investment communities. He’s offered his insights on various podcast series, such as "WSP Special Access" and "Market Narratives", and spoken at several conferences, such as the RFK Compass Winter Investors Conference and Milken Institute Global Conference.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Breach is a committed philanthropist. He has contributed significantly to the University of Michigan, establishing a $1 million need-based scholarship fund and a $5 million endowment to the University of Michigan Law School. Mr. Breach is also a member of the San Francisco Advisory Board for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity and the American Investment Council.
