James Burritt is Senior Vice President and Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Private Assets at Pacific Life. He is responsible for managing private investments across private debt, private equity, and infrastructure as well as building relationships with third-party asset managers. Mr. Burritt has 30 years of alternative investment experience across private equity, private credit, and hedge funds as well as private markets experience. Prior to being promoted to Deputy CIO at Pacific Life, he built and managed Pacific Private Fund Advisors, Pacific Life’s private equity investment business. He has held a number of investment roles in his career including CIO for Thomas H. Lee Capital, Vice President at MLIM Alternative Strategies Group and XL Capital. He began his career at Trout Trading Management Company. James earned an M.B.A. from Cornell University, a B.S. in Civil Engineering, and a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from Bucknell University.
