John Richert is co-founder of J.P. Morgan’s Head Mid-Cap Investment Banking practice and a member of the Investment Bank Operating Committee. He also serves as Global Head of Business Services Investment Banking. Since joining J.P. Morgan in 2013, John has led the build out of the #1 mid cap investment banking practice on Wall Street, generating more than $3 billion in revenue over the past three years. He is an accomplished strategic and M&A advisor to several of JPMorgan’s most notable clients across a broad range of sectors, drawing on extensive experience in M&A, debt, and equity.
Prior to J.P. Morgan, John was a Managing Director at Barclays and in the Lehman Brothers M&A group in New York. Earlier, he worked in investment banking at Bank of America in Hong Kong. He received his BS in Economics and French from Washington & Lee University and his MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill.
